These days, simply having a corporate website only goes so far. So while plenty of firms out there can build you a site, you need to consider issues like these: How will you update the content? How will the site translate onto an iPhone or other mobile device? How will you drive traffic to the site?

At Scandia Consulting, our proven expertise across all these areas (and then some) means you can count on us for all your Web-related needs. For more information on our services, please call 401.566.3000 or email info@scandiaconsulting.com.

A content management system offers two huge benefits:

  • It makes updating your website simple. Want to add, modify or delete a page? Now, you can do it via a user-friendly interface (as easy to use as Microsoft Word). No more paying outside developers to handle minor requests.
  • It allows multiple users within your organization to access content and share the responsibility of keeping your website fresh.

At Scandia Consulting, our content management system of choice is Umbraco. This is an extremely versatile content management system, and our consultants can customize its functionality to suit your organization's needs. Better yet, as an open-source product, Umbraco doesn't carry heavy licensing costs.

Check out this short video to find out what the Umbraco content management system can do for you. Or, click on any of the below features for more information.

  • Editing It's easy to add, modify and delete content. Umbraco even features Microsoft 2007 integration, so you can do your thing using a familiar application.
  • Version control Aren't happy with the modifications you made? Don't worry. Umbraco stores previous versions of each page, so you can always revert to the version of your choice.
  • Content scheduling You tell Umbraco when you want content to go live - and when it should go away. The system takes care of the rest.
  • Media library You can store all digital assets (e.g. documents, images, videos) on Umbraco. Anyone who is updating content can access the assets to use as they wish.
  • Platform compatibility Umbraco works across all major operating systems and browsers.
  • Role-based permissions With Umbraco, you assign specific roles (e.g. editor, administrator, approver) to specific individuals.
  • Workflow and event tracking Umbraco lets you send out email notifications based on which workflow steps and events are relevant to the recipient.

Of course, if you have a specific CMS you would like implemented, we probably have experience with it (e.g. WordPress, Drupal, SiteCore).
